As per the guidelines of CBSE to cater to the educational and personal needs of students and staff the vidyalaya has a rich library. All the books are entered in the E Granthalaya software provided by KVS and are duly barcoded. The library has a projector and also 10 computers with interent connection.
The books are selected by students ,teachers and subject experts as per guidelines of KVS. Books are also procured regularly as per recommendation of KVS And RO. There are about 9531 books comprising of fiction, dictionaries, encyclopaedia, biographies, children books, career guidance, and all text books .For boosting the students current affairs awareness 3 English and 3 Hindi newspapers are subscribed. Besides these,16 general and subject specific knowledge magazines are available for students viz Pratiyogita Darpan, Physics today, Chemistry Today, Mathematics Today, Biology today and Rozgar Nirman
Various awareness programmes are organized from time to time as per KVS directives.In April ,a book donation drive was conducted in the vidyalaya to take a step towards conservation of Environment which proved to be a geat success in which students participated in great numbers by giving away their old textbooks of previous class to their juniors and thus promote –Reuse,reduce and recycle.In June 2023 the Birth anniversary of renowned librarian Shri B N Panniker was observed as Reading Week.In July 2023 students prepared Scrapbooks on Manipur under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.In Septemebr 2023 an exhibition of Hindi Literature was organized during Hindi Pakhwara.
In November 2023 Library Week was organized with a variety of activities like book review,story writing,poem writing , book marker making , Drawing and Painting and Essay writing.In order to promote reading habits among students ,on 27 Jan 2024 a book fair was organised by Avni Book House in the vidyalaya premises and students enthusiastically purchased books as per their interest.
As per instructions of KVS ,Books in Braille has been purchased from PM Shri Fund for visually challenged students.
