PM SHRI KV No2 Bhopal has well equipped physics lab. It has all the equipment related to modernisation of lab and students make full use of the facility available in lab. Physics Lab is a teaching lab catering to high and higher secondary class students. The lab has a set of experiments mainly in the areas of mechanics, electricity and light. A set of eight to ten experiments form the prescribed course is taken by every students of science stream.
CHEMISTRY LAB
Our chemistry lab is located at Ground floor in the secondary building. The lab room has capacity of 24 students to perform experiments together. It has a store room and a lab support room. The general layout of the lab is bit different than other labs, our student have more area to work as work- bench has no racks and the chemicals are specifically kept at one place. We have Gas connection with Bunsen burner for all the students individually for experiments which require heating. Our lab is well equipped to cater the need of the students for investigatory project work also. We use Borosilicate glassware and standard chemicals keeping in view safety precautions. With reference to the CBSE practical syllabus for class 11th and 12th the lab has all the equipment and necessary material for the students providing them opportunity to practice and learn experimental techniques and the scientific process. The lab inculcates curiosity and inquisitiveness in students. It plays a very important role in developing a scientific temperament in our students. Hands on experiments help students to understand better. Our students are taught to use chemicals in micro quantity to avoid its adverse impact on environment.
Bio Lab: School has well equipped and well furnished biology laboratory. It has all the facilities as per the benchmark. Lab has modern equipments and tools received under modernisation of lab which includes digital pH meter, Binoculars electronic microscope, elementary science kit, digital CO2/O2 Concentration detector, Detachable model of eye, Ear, Brain, Kidney, types of joints etc.
Lab also has latest projector including Apple I pad with Apple TV. Biology lab consists of latest biology reference books for students which they can issue and can do self study in their non teaching periods.
Lab is also provided with a Computer desktop with Internet facility and a colour printer. It has sound system along with visualiser to have real time practical experience. It has separate chamber for keeping all the chemicals to ensure safety of students. Lab is provided with 5 water proof tables and four water points, facilitates smooth conduction of practicals.
